From an early age, I was fascinated by drawing in my beautiful native Normandy. For many years, I devoted as much time as I could to learn, workshops and hours of sketching. This practice has shaped my career as an oil painter.

My painting style is halfway between realism and impressionism. I paint quickly, with bright colors. I concentrate more on light and color than on detail. To accompany body shapes, I rely on abstract forms and bold brushstrokes. I appreciate the use of oil paint for its brilliance and ease of creating transitions of color.

My influences are mainly to be found in the Impressionist movement, and especially in their use of color and light. I was particularly moved by the works of Joaquín Sorolla, John Singer Sargent and Émile Friand. I find a lot of inspiration in books written about the great masters of painting. This foundation has helped me progress towards my own style. The search for sensuality and emotion is at the heart of my work, through the use of soft, elegant poses. I also aim to blur the boundaries between classical nude and abstract art, which motivates me to constantly explore new techniques.
